Paul Janicki has spent over forty years as an architect in Chicago. Mr. Janicki grew up in Princeton, New Jersey and later Lake Forest, Illinois. It was in these places that Paul observed firsthand some of America’s finest residential work.
Before opening his own practice, he worked for some of Chicago’s premiere architectural firms. His experience at these firms ranged from smaller residential projects to large apartment buildings, university architecture and commercial high-rises.
Paul lectures on architecture and served as the past President and current Vice President of the Evanston Preservation League. He has also serves as a judge for Preservation Awards in towns along the North Shore including Lake Forest, Highland Park and Winnetka. He has been active in saving houses in Historic Districts from demolition. Paul has served as a juror for The University of Illinois at Chicago, The University of Illinois-Champaign and The Illinois Institute of Technology. Paul was a finalist for the Steedman Prize, given annually to America’s best young architects.
